About Roti King

Let me introduce you to Roti King, a Malaysian restaurant that quietly turns first-time visitors into regulars the moment the food hits the table. Tucked just off Euston Road at 40 Doric Way, London NW1 1LH, United Kingdom, this spot feels energetic without being overwhelming, and it carries that comforting buzz you expect from a place that knows exactly what it’s doing. The menu leans into bold Malaysian flavors, with flaky roti, rich curries, and deeply spiced small plates that are ideal for sharing or grabbing as a quick bite when you’re short on time. At the same time, the kitchen keeps things inclusive, offering halal food alongside solid vegetarian options, so mixed groups never feel limited. What really stands out is how effortlessly Roti King fits into different parts of your day. You can swing by for a casual dine-in meal, order takeaway when the craving hits at home, or choose delivery if you want the food without leaving the sofa. On warmer days, outdoor seating adds a relaxed street-side feel, while late-night food service makes it a dependable option after work or an evening out. The atmosphere stays informal and welcoming, and the service moves quickly without feeling rushed, which makes the whole experience easy and approachable. Coffee is available too, so it works just as well for a laid-back catch-up as it does for a focused meal built around flavor. From the first bite to the last, Roti King comes across as confident in its identity, serving Malaysian comfort food with consistency, warmth, and just enough edge to keep things exciting. It’s the kind of place where the open kitchen energy, fast turnover, and steady stream of locals signal quality before you even order, and where portions feel satisfying rather than overdone. Whether you’re new to Malaysian cuisine or already familiar with it, the flavors remain approachable, layered, and memorable in a way that feels honest.

I highly recommend Roti King if you’re new to Malaysian food or simply love bold, comforting flavours. We visited as a group of two and had a fantastic meal overall. We ordered the roti with mutton, which was the clear highlight. The roti was beautifully flaky and soft, perfect for dipping, and the mutton curry was rich, deeply spiced, and very filling without being overwhelming. Everything tasted freshly made and full of flavour. To drink, we had teh tarik (hot), which was smooth, comforting, and nicely balanced—not overly sweet and a great complement to the meal. Service was friendly and efficient, even though the restaurant was busy. One thing to note is that seating is quite limited and tightly packed, so the space can feel a bit claustrophobic. You also can’t book in advance, so expect to queue. That said, our wait was around 15–20 minutes, which felt very reasonable. If you’re sensitive to spice, this may not be the best choice, but if you enjoy flavourful food with a bit of heat, it’s absolutely worth it. Overall, Roti King delivers delicious food, great value, and a genuinely satisfying experience. We’d happily go back again.

We took a chance while there wasn’t a massive queue outside. Totally worth it, even if we did have to line up. Food was great and perfect for a cold day for sure. Delicious fluffy roti and chicken kari. We shared some chicken satay skewers too which were also delicious. The place is small inside but the atmosphere is good and staff are friendly

This place has been on my list to try for a while after it was recommended to me by some of my Malay friends. You do have to be prepared to wait for a table however once we were in, service was incredibly attentive. The Euston branch is much smaller compared to their other branches. The beef rendang was definitely the highlight of the evening and the rotis were made fresh, we even enjoyed them in dessert form. Can’t wait to visit again.
